HubSpot Connection
In this guide:
Introduction
In this guide, we’ll go over how to create the HubSpot Connection for BlinkMetrics. This will allow BlinkMetrics to pull data from HubSpot as a Source.
Authorizing HubSpot Connection
1. Go to the Connections Page
To create the HubSpot Connection, click on the Settings cog icon in the header > select the Connections menu item. This will open the Connections page. Next, click the Add Connection button.
2. Add Connection
From the Connection Stepper interface, select HubSpot in the Select Source tab. In the Set Up Credentials tab, click the Continue with HubSpot button.
Try to log into your HubSpot account before completing the connection process; otherwise, you’ll be prompted to Sign In before connecting the app.
Clicking Continue with HubSpot will redirect you to the HubSpot authorization page so that BlinkMetrics can connect to your HubSpot account.
Select the HubSpot account that you’d like to allow BlinkMetrics to access, select one, and click Choose Account.
Next, it’ll ask you to review and agree to the following permissions:
- Manage and view your CRM data
- View properties and other details about deals.
- View details about users assigned to a CRM record.
- View details about deals.
- Manage and view your account settings
- This includes reading existing exchange rates along with the current company currency associated with your portal.
- Basic HubSpot account information
- This includes your user email address and the account’s primary domain.
When you’re done, click Connect App.
Permissions Needed
Users connecting apps in their HubSpot account must either be a super admin or have App Marketplace Access permissions.
To see your Connected Apps, go to Settings > under the Account Management sidebar section and click Connected Apps.
Plan Needed
HubSpot’s OAuth and App Marketplace features are available across all subscription plans.
3. Review Privacy and Save Connection
After being redirected back to BlinkMetrics, you should see the message, Connection Created Successfully shown on the Connection page. From here, you can see an overview of the following:
- Connection Status
- Date Connected On
- User Connected By
From here, you can also edit the following:
- Connection Name: Used for organizational purposes, each Source can have multiple Connections, so it’s helpful to see who authorized the Connection or which account it was connected to.
- Privacy: You can choose who it’s shared with: Shared with Workspace, Private to Me, or Shared with Team.
When you’re done, click Save, and now you’re done! You can now use the Connection to pull data from the HubSpot Source.
